Cookie Policy

1. What Cookies Are
Cookies and similar browser storage are small pieces of data a site can use for sessions, security, preferences and optional services. The exact storage used can depend on the MAXScanner feature and your consent choices.
2. Essential Functionality
Essential storage may be used to keep the site working correctly, maintain authenticated session state, prevent abuse, and support security-related features.
3. Preferences and Local Product State
We may store preferences such as language or interface settings and browser-local product state such as recent or saved tools. Some workflows also use IndexedDB or similar browser storage for local handoff or work-in-progress data.
4. Analytics and advertising cookies
Google Analytics 4 (analytics): MAXScanner uses Google Consent Mode. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies stay off until you choose to allow analytics. Everywhere else they are on by default and you can opt out. When analytics is allowed, it can set cookies such as _ga and a _ga_ cookie with the property ID to tell visits apart. When it is not allowed, the Google tag still loads but sets no analytics cookies and sends only cookieless pings, which Google uses for aggregate measurement. You can change this choice with the control at the end of this page or with Cookie settings in the site footer.
Google AdSense (advertising): the AdSense script from pagead2.googlesyndication.com is loaded on MAXScanner pages. Google and its partners may set or read cookies and similar identifiers, for example __gads, __gpi and IDE, to serve and measure ads, cap how often an ad is shown and prevent fraud. With personalised ads, these identifiers are also used to choose ads based on your browsing across websites.
Your choices: manage personalised ads at https://adssettings.google.com, opt out of personalised advertising by participating vendors at https://www.aboutads.info/choices or https://www.youronlinechoices.eu, and read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, personalised ads require your consent, collected through a Google-certified consent message. Without consent, Google may serve only non-personalised or limited ads, which still use cookies for frequency capping, reporting and fraud prevention.
5. Managing Cookies and Storage
You can control or delete cookies and site storage through your browser settings. Disabling essential storage may affect account, security or site functionality; clearing local site data can also remove browser-local saved state.
6. Related Policy
See the MAXScanner Privacy Policy and the processing disclosure shown on individual tools for more information about data handling.
Optional usage analytics
Current choice: Not chosen. Analytics events are limited to low-cardinality tool/workflow actions and exclude filenames, file contents, typed values, search queries and workflow tokens.
