What the result does not assume
- •Variable bitrate encodes may average above or below a nominal setting, and container/metadata overhead is not included.
- •Do not confuse kbps (kilobits per second) with kB/s (kilobytes per second); the calculation explicitly converts bits to bytes.

They use different byte bases. Showing both avoids a hidden 1000-vs-1024 conversion.
Does resolution matter directly?+
