The calculation, without hidden assumptions

Torque pairs force with a lever arm, so service manuals and engineering documents regularly switch between newton metres, pound-force feet, pound-force inches and kilogram-force units. MAXScanner converts through N·m, shows every supported equivalent at once, and deliberately labels the imperial units as force-distance units so they are not confused with energy. The numerical dimension N·m also appears in energy, but torque is a rotational moment and should not be relabelled as joules.
