  1. 1. Count range = 2026-11-02 through 2026-11-09 (end included).
  2. 2. Selected working weekdays = Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri.
  3. 3. Supplied holiday dates = 0.
  4. 4. Business days = 8 evaluated − 2 non-working weekdays − 0 selected-weekday holidays = 6.

Public holidays are not inferred by country or region. Only the holiday dates entered above are excluded.

A holiday on an already non-working weekday is not double-counted as an additional exclusion.

This calculator does not determine legal banking, settlement or statutory working-day definitions.

Planning notes

Working days need an explicit workweek and holiday list

There is no universal business-day calendar. Choose the weekdays that count and enter applicable closure dates; the calculator then shows exactly what was excluded.

Example: Monday through Sunday with Wednesday off

With Monday–Friday selected and Wednesday entered as a holiday, four business days remain in that seven-date inclusive range.

Useful for

  • Project and delivery lead times
  • HR and payroll date checks
  • Payment/SLA planning

Limits and assumptions

  • Country, state, bank and company holidays are not guessed.
  • A holiday already on a non-working weekday is not double-counted.
  • Legal definitions of a business day can differ by contract or jurisdiction.

Questions about this planning model

Can Saturday be a working day?

Yes. Select Mon–Sat or customize the weekday chips.

Are public holidays automatic?

No. Enter the exact applicable dates so the calculation does not pretend one holiday calendar fits every user.

Can I exclude the end date?

Yes. The endpoint control makes that counting rule explicit.
