Photo and Signature Resizer for Exam Forms
Pick your exam, add your photo and signature, and download JPGs at the exact pixel size and KB range of the official notice, each with a pass/fail check. Nothing is uploaded.
Already have a file? Add it. If it already meets every rule, it is kept exactly as it is; if not, you see what fails and get a fixed copy.
- Photo: taken live inside the application (webcam or phone app), so there is no file to prepare.

One exam at a time
How to prepare both files
- Choose the exam. Pick the exam or form. The rules for each file appear under the list, with the notice they come from.
- Add the photo. Choose a recent photo or take one with the camera. Use the crop slider until the face sits in the upper half.
- Add the signature. Sign in black ink on white paper and photograph it. The kit whitens the paper and trims the empty space.
- Check and download. Each file shows its pixel size, its KB size and three checks. Download the files one by one or as one ZIP.
Why a small signature fails a 10 KB minimum
A signature of 140 × 60 pixels holds only 8,400 pixels, and a white page with a few ink strokes compresses very well. In our test, a signature photographed on grey paper came out at 5.3 KB at the highest JPG quality once it was resized to 140 × 60 px for IBPS or SBI, and at 7.9 KB at 236 × 79 px for SSC CGL. All three notices ask for at least 10 KB. A 200 × 230 px photo did the same: 19.1 KB at full quality against a 20 KB minimum.
Most resizers stop once the file is under the maximum and show a green tick, so the form rejects it for being too small. The kit checks both ends. When a file is still under the minimum at full quality, it adds a blank comment block inside the JPG (a standard part of the format that image viewers ignore) until the file reaches about 10.5 KB, and it tells you it did so. The pixels stay exactly as they were. When a file is over the maximum, it lowers the JPG quality step by step instead.
Is 1 KB 1000 or 1024 bytes?
Portals do not agree, and the notices rarely say. To be safe under both readings, the kit aims for at least 10 × 1024 = 10,240 bytes when the minimum is 10 KB, and at most 20 × 1000 = 20,000 bytes when the maximum is 20 KB. The size shown under each file is in units of 1024 bytes; on a computer, hover over it to see the exact byte count.
What resizing cannot fix
The kit gets the size, the file size and the format right. It does not judge the picture. The NTA bulletins for JEE Main and CUET ask for a colour photo with the face filling about 80% of the frame, ears visible, no mask and a white background. The SBI notice asks for a light, preferably white background, a signature in black ink on white paper, and a hand-written declaration in English that is not in capital letters. If your photo background is not white, make it white first with the background tool linked below, then come back.
Some exams also take a live photo inside the form: SSC CGL captures the photo with your webcam or phone instead of accepting a file, and UPSC, JEE Main, CUET and UGC-NET ask for a live photo as well as the uploaded one. Those live photos are taken in the portal, so there is nothing to prepare here.
Bangladesh government job forms on Teletalk
The CAG circular of November 2026 asks for a colour photo of 300 × 300 pixels up to 100 KB and a signature of 300 × 80 pixels up to 60 KB, with no minimum. Our test photo came out at 33.7 KB and the signature at 8.2 KB, both well inside the limits. Other Teletalk circulars usually repeat the same rule, but compare it with the clause in your own circular before you apply. If a form asks for 300 × 100 pixels instead, use the 300 × 100 resizer linked below.
When the notice gives no pixel size
The JEE Main 2027, CUET (UG) 2026 and UGC-NET December 2026 bulletins give only a file-size range. For those exams the kit makes a 350 × 450 px photo (the 3.5 × 4.5 proportion of a passport photo) and a 350 × 150 px signature. Our test files came out at 53.6 KB and 20.5 KB, inside every one of those ranges. If your portal shows a pixel size when you upload, follow the portal.
Limits
Each exam and form in the list was checked against its official source on the date shown in the table. We left out NEET and the RRB exams because we could not confirm their current rules on an official website. The US visa photo (DS-160) is not in the list yet either, because we have not been able to re-check its numbers on the State Department’s own site; paste the rule from that page into “Custom rule” instead. iPhone HEIC photos do not open in every browser; convert them to JPG first. Everything runs on your device, so a very old phone may take a few seconds per file instead of the 0.1–0.25 seconds per file we measured in our test browser.
Form not in the list? Paste its rule
Choose “Custom rule” at the bottom of the exam list and paste the line from your notice as it is written. The kit reads the pixel size, the KB range and the format, shows them as boxes you can correct, and prepares the file with the same pass/fail checks as the exams above. The text you paste is read on your device and is not sent anywhere.
Three rules we tried with our own test files. “must be in jpg format must be 300x100 pixel size not more than 100 kb” turned a 1200 × 1600 px photo of 388 KB into a 300 × 100 px JPG of 22.8 KB. “Signature 10 kb to 20 kb” gives no pixel size, so the kit chose 350 × 150 px, said so above the file, and the signature came out at 15.3 KB. The Teletalk wording “দৈর্ঘ্য 300 × প্রস্থ 80 পিক্সেল, সর্বোচ্চ 60 কিলোবাইট” was read as 300 × 80 px up to 60 KB, and the file was 12.0 KB.
When the notice gives centimetres without a DPI, the kit converts at 300 DPI and tells you, so “3.5 cm x 4.5 cm” becomes 413 × 531 px; type the DPI into its box if your notice names one. If one line holds both the photo and the signature rule, the kit uses the first one and asks you to paste them one at a time. It understands English, Hindi and Bengali wording, Devanagari and Bangla digits, and full-width digits. It cannot read a PDF or a screenshot of the notice, so copy the text first.
Passport, OCI and PAN photo uploads
GOV.UK asks for a digital passport photo of at least 600 × 750 pixels and 50 KB to 10 MB, and names no file format. Our 3024 × 4032 px test photo from a phone (a 540.2 KB JPG) already met that rule, so the kit kept it unchanged; “Make a new copy anyway” gives a 900 × 1125 px copy of 284.4 KB. Canada’s online renewal takes 1,200 × 1,800 up to 3,000 × 4,500 pixels and 200 KB to 5 MB, as .jpg. The same photo is 3,024 pixels wide, just over that limit, so the kit made a 1200 × 1800 px copy of 605.5 KB.
For an OCI card the photo must be square, 200 to 900 pixels per side and no more than 200 KB, on a plain light background that is not white. The kit makes it 600 × 600 px (104.6 KB in our test) and leaves your background as it is, so skip the white-background step for this one. The OCI signature has only the 200 KB cap, so our 1600 × 1200 px signature photo (85.1 KB) passed as it was. Protean’s PAN application asks for a colour photo of 3.5 × 2.5 cm and a signature of 2 × 4.5 cm at 200 DPI, at most 20 KB and 10 KB. That is 197 × 276 px and 354 × 157 px, and ours came out at 14.4 KB and 9.2 KB. Protean’s e-Sign route allows 50 KB per file, so the same files fit either route.
These portals also judge the photo itself. The UK wants a photo taken in the last month and Canada one taken within the last six months, both against a plain light background. The kit gets the pixels, the file size and the format right; it cannot tell whether a passport office will accept the lighting, your expression or the background.
Frequently asked questions
What is the photo and signature size for SSC CGL?
For SSC CGL 2026 the photo is taken live inside the application with your webcam or phone, so you do not upload a photo file. The signature must be a JPG of 10–20 KB and about 6.0 × 2.0 cm; the kit makes it 236 × 79 px, which is 6.0 × 2.0 cm at 100 pixels per inch.
What are the IBPS and SBI Clerk photo and signature sizes?
Both ask for a 200 × 230 px photo of 20–50 KB and a 140 × 60 px signature of 10–20 KB, as JPG. SBI Clerk also asks for a 240 × 240 px left thumb impression of 20–50 KB and an 800 × 400 px hand-written declaration of 50–100 KB.
How do I resize my signature to 10–20 KB?
Choose your exam, add a photo of your signature on white paper, and the kit makes it the right pixel size. If the file is under 10 KB even at full quality, which is normal for a small signature, it adds blank JPG comment data to reach the minimum and shows a pass/fail check before you download.
Why does my signature look blurry after resizing?
Because 140 × 60 pixels is very small, not because of the KB size. Sign larger with a thicker black pen, photograph it in daylight, and keep “Trim empty paper around the ink” switched on so the signature fills the box.
Can I upload a PNG signature?
You can add a PNG, JPG or WebP image. The kit always gives you a JPG on a white background. Most rules in the list ask for JPG/JPEG; the Teletalk circular, the UGC-NET bulletin and the UK passport page do not name a format.
What is the Teletalk photo and signature size?
In the CAG circular of November 2026: photo 300 × 300 pixels, up to 100 KB; signature 300 × 80 pixels, up to 60 KB. Check the same clause in your own circular, since each one states its own rule.
Are my photo and signature uploaded anywhere?
No. The files are read and processed by your browser on your device. Nothing is sent to MAXScanner or anyone else, and closing the tab deletes them.
Can I paste my form’s instructions?
Yes. Choose “Custom rule” in the exam list and paste the sentence from your notice, for example “photo 200 x 230 pixels, 20 KB to 50 KB, JPG”. The kit reads the pixel size, KB range and format, lets you correct any value, and prepares the file with a pass/fail check. Anything it had to assume, such as the DPI for a size in centimetres, is shown above the file.
