  1. 1. Remaining = max(0, 40 − 0) = 40 hours.
  2. 2. Count scheduled days from 2026-11-02 through 2026-11-16 inclusive using 5 day(s)/week = 11.
  3. 3. Daily target = 40 ÷ 11 = 3.6364 hours/day.

Planning results follow only the schedule and capacity assumptions entered above. Holidays, leave, interruptions and individual performance are not inferred unless the calculator explicitly includes them.

How to use this calculator

Deadline Calculator turns the schedule and capacity values you enter into a planning estimate. It does not guess holidays, leave, local labor rules or interruptions that are not represented in the inputs.

Step-by-step

  1. Step 1

Enter the schedule or workload values shown.

  2. Step 2

Set the work/study days, breaks, rates or thresholds that apply.

  3. Step 3

Review the result and the assumptions displayed beside it.

Common questions

Are holidays automatically removed?

No, unless a specific calculator provides a holiday input.

Are overtime rules automatic?

No. Overtime calculations use the threshold or multiplier you enter and do not determine legal entitlement.

Can I use a six- or seven-day schedule?

Yes. Those planning calculators allow one to seven scheduled days per week.

Planning notes

Turn remaining work into a deterministic daily target

Deadline planning now includes an explicit plan start date so a shared or saved calculation reopens the same calendar state later. Remaining hours are spread across scheduled days from the start date through the deadline, inclusive.

Worked example — 30 hours remaining across two workweeks

For a plan starting 2026-09-14 and ending 2026-09-25, a Monday–Friday schedule contains 10 scheduled study days. If the total target is 40 hours and 10 hours are already completed, 30 hours remain, so the arithmetic target is 3 hours per scheduled day.

Useful for

  • Allocating course or exam-preparation hours to a deadline
  • Comparing 5-, 6- and 7-day weekly schedules
  • Saving an exact workload plan that should not change when reopened later

Limits and assumptions

  • The N-days-per-week convention uses the first N days from Monday: 5 = Monday–Friday, 6 = Monday–Saturday, 7 = every day.
  • Public holidays, leave, unavailable dates and one-off schedule exceptions are not automatically removed.
  • Hours/day is workload allocation, not a recommendation for an appropriate study duration or workload.

Questions about this planning model

Why is there a plan start date now?

Without it, the same shared link could produce a different number of available days tomorrow. Making the start date explicit keeps saved/shared state deterministic.

Is the deadline date counted?

Yes, when it is a scheduled day under the selected weekly pattern.

Can I exclude a single unavailable day?

Not in this owner yet. Adjust the date range/remaining hours or use a more detailed schedule when one-off unavailable dates materially matter.
