A plywood estimate should not silently assume every project is one rectangle or every panel is 4×8. MAXScanner totals three editable sections, lets you enter the sheet dimensions being purchased, applies waste only once to the project total, and rounds the result to whole sheets.
How to use this calculator

Example: 800 sq ft with 4×8 sheets
A 4×8 sheet covers 32 sq ft. Eight hundred square feet needs 25 sheets before waste. A 10% allowance raises the order area to 880 sq ft, so the result rounds to 28 whole sheets.
What the result does not assume
- •Sheet orientation, staggered joints, grain direction and cut reuse affect real waste. Area division is a planning estimate, not a cut optimizer.
- •Use actual product dimensions and structural specifications where they matter; this tool estimates quantity only.

Does this assume 4×8 plywood?+
The default is 4×8 ft, but both sheet dimensions are editable.
Can I combine several surfaces?+
Yes. Three rectangular sections are available so you do not have to add them elsewhere first.
Why is the answer rounded up?+
Plywood is normally purchased as whole sheets, so any fractional sheet requirement becomes the next whole sheet.
